Puerta Cortés – a resort, golf course and marina

Puerto Cortez La Paz

Puerta Cortés, Mexico, a resort destination, located near La Paz and positioned as a gateway to the Sea of Cortez, features a boutique collection of oceanfront and hillside residences, a golf course, and a world-class marina. Watersports activities include sailing, yachting, diving, snorkeling and more. The lush, rolling greens of the golf course weaving through the desert landscape, down to the crystal blue Sea of Cortez creates a dramatic backdrop for the marina and spectacular views from the residences of Puerta Cortés.

Pueblito Marinero has an inner and outer marina with capacity for 250 vessels from 30 to 225 feet. In 2018, illustrious superyachts such as Seven Seas, Venus, and Atessa IV, among others visited the area. World-class facilities and services include 24-hour security with controlled access, concrete springs, wastewater extraction system, safety boxes, fuel dock, high-speed Internet and a water treatment plant. Pueblito Marinero has dockside dining and provisioning possibilities for yachtsmen, including Azul Marino, La Barcaccia, Steinbeck’s, Odayaka Sushi Bar, Marina Market and Blau Wine Shop.

On site at Puerta Cortés there are two types of residences: Las Colinas and VistaMar. Las Colinas comprises 72 contemporary rustic hillside residences located between holes eight and ten of the Gary Player-designed golf course. VistaMar is a collection of 60 oceanfront condominiums, with panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez and located just a short one- minute golf cart ride from Pueblito Marinero.

El Cortés Golf course, with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from 17 of the 18 holes, is home to the only Gary Player Signature golf course in Mexico. The signature number 14 hole is one of the longest par fives in Mexico with players shooting from an elevated cliff. Offering challenges and enjoyment for experienced and novice players, the contrast of the pristine green blanketing the desert landscape and sweeping down to the turquoise sea makes playing El Cortés an amazing golfing experience.
