A look at Gated Golfing Communities

Golf Life Navigators (GLN) – the world’s only virtual marketplace for consumer-to-club connections – will be conducting a virtual discussion with industry leaders on consumer sentiment for gated golf community homes in 2020-21.

The panel of industry experts will include Dr. Jim Butler, CEO of Club Benchmarking; Michael Timmerman, CMIO of Club Benchmarking; Jason Becker, CEO of Golf Life Navigators; and consumers who recently purchased real estate inside and outside of gated golf communities in the sunbelt. The symposium will be moderated by Private Club Radio’s, Gabe Aluisy.

“Our objective for the symposium is to offer club, real estate officials, and consumers a look into how the real estate transaction affects the club and community,” says Jason Becker, CEO of GLN. “Consumer buying trends in 2020 have been eye-opening, and we are thrilled to share the data with all of those involved in the private club marketplace.”

For club officials attending, Dr. Jim Butler, Club Benchmarking, will discuss the monetary effects of capture rate within a gated golf community and how non-resident, full-golf memberships will play a significant role in the club’s balance sheet. “With the growing trend of desires for non-resident memberships, it is important to understand how the club may be affected financially in the coming years,” says Dr. Jim Butler. “We are going to take a deep dive into how full golf members who live off campus effect cash-flows, amenity usage, and capital improvement plans.”

Gabe Aluisy, Private Club Radio, will direct the discussion and provide his expert advice to clubs on how to best market for buyers coming to the marketplace.  “I am excited for this event as there has been growing discussion on the topic of real estate in boardrooms across the private club industry in 2020,” says Gabe Aluisy. “My goal is to get the most out of the panelists so officials can walk away with a sense of how to market their club going forward.”

The symposium will be held via Zoom on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm EST.
